Gilgen Kwikroll is a range of high speed vertical rolling fabric doors for low security and internal or external applications. A comprehensive range of vehicle detectors, hand transmitters, receiver units, push-button controls, key switches, photocells, signal lights and digital control units are also available as alternatives or in addition to the standard control units. Reliable operation and safety in use are of high priority with safety systems a both impact safety edges and secondary none contact safety beams supplied as standard on most models.Dimensions:Width (maximum): 5000 mm.Height (maximum): 5000 mm.Finish:The fabric curtains are available in a range of colours and transparency, and the main metal work structure and optional casings are normally a galvanised self finish, but optional polyester powder coat finishes and special stainless steel materials can be supplied.Emergency operation:Automated opening mode via an integrated UPS battery system in the event of a power failure.Health and Safety - Pedestrian Usage of High Speed Doors:The HSE recommends an electro-sensitive device such as an additional, post-mounted photocell positioned 0.9–1.0 m away from the door line, to the front and rear of the door, with barriers between the door and the posts to prevent pedestrians entering the unprotected area other than through the safety beam. Alternatively, active presence sensors can be used above the door head to provide threshold safety zones.
