Megadoor System 1500

Specially developed to meet the needs of heavy industry for durability, tightness, energy efficiency, reliability and minimum maintenance requirements. CE marked.Consists of two sheets of PVC-coated polyester fabric with intermediate, horizontal aluminium sections, fitted between the fabrics. The intermediate sections transfer the wind load to vertical guide rails. The door leaf is opened by the bottom section being lifted by belts, which are wound up on a belt drum, driven by a gear motor. The sections above are stacked on top of one another and the fabric folds into pleats on the sides. The door is closed by the weight of the door leaf. When the bottom section has reached its bottom level, the door is closed and the fabric is stretched. The door is operated from a control cabinet next to the door opening.Size (h x w, maximum):20 x 25 m.Operating speed:0.15–0.25 m/s.Fabric:Temperature resistance: -35 to 70° C.UV-stabilized and lacquered.Mildew and rot resistant.Flame-resistant to SIS 650082, ASTM E84-94 class A, DIN 4102 B1.Header box:The door leaf with the bottom section is suspended by a box structure of steel, which contains the drive unit and limit switch units with position sensors and devices for checking belt status. The door is supplied with one or two motors, depending on size. The top section of the door leaf is secured at the bottom of the header box.Intermediate section:The intermediate sections, which are made of extruded aluminium, are fitted at each end with lubrication-free guide blocks, which travel in the guide rails on each side of the door leaf.Drive unit:Energy-saving gear motor, which is equipped with a brake, also has a hand-operated brake release and crank, so that the door can be opened or closed in the event of a power failure.Guide rails:Extruded guide rails are made up of three parts, a rail surrounded by two outer sections. The guide blocks in the intermediate sections travel along the guide rail and guide the door.Safety arresters:The lifting belts are attached to the patented safety arresters, which in turn are fixed to the bottom section. In the unlikely event of a belt failure, the safety arresters are activated and immediately lock the door in the guide rails. Tested by TUV and has BG certification.Wind load:Can withstand almost any wind load by varying the size and the spacing of the intermediate sections.Electrical requirements:Supply: Three phase 400 V at 50 Hz (other options available on request).Power: 1.6–5.5 kW 20–25 A.Protection: Control cabinet, limit switch and push buttons: IP 65, Motor/ Brake: IP 55.
